If you’re a health fund member with extras, you could be entitled to a wide range of benefits. It’s likely your extras cover means you’re entitled to at least one gap-free* check-up a year. It’s worth checking with your health fund to see what you can claim.

How Do the Health Funds Work?
Different health funds offer different levels of cover for dental treatment. Some health funds will only cover the cost of preventative treatments, while others will also cover the cost of major treatments such as fillings, crowns, and bridges.
When you come for your appointment, our reception team will be able to check your cover and let you know what treatments are covered by your policy. Once you have had your treatment, we will process your claim through HICAPS to make it even more convenient.
You will only need to pay the gap amount which is the difference between the cost of the treatment and what is covered by your health fund. In some cases, you may even be eligible for a rebate from your health fund, which means you could get your money back.
